M. Bryan, were instructed to <br />execute the contract of lease regarding the office space in the city hall rented <br />32 by School District #4 and it was so ordered. <br /> <br />~~~" ~- , <br />.:::,':) <br />c,-:',) <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Proposed re-~oning of the property at the four corners of West Eighth <br />and Polk Streets in the City of Eugene from a spot business district to a single <br />family residence district was presented at this time. A tentative report of <br />the Planning Commission, and a re'solution adopting the tentative report as a <br />pe.rmanent report were approved. An ordinance reclassifying a certain area at <br />the four conners of West 8th and Polk Streets was presented to the council for <br />its first reading and held until the next meeting. A resolution was presented <br />directing the City Recorder to publish a notice of a hearing to be held at the <br />regular Council meeting on Monday, June 10, 1940 at 7:30 o'clock was presented and <br />33 unanimously adopted. <br /> <br />TENTATIVE REPORT UPON THE REDISTRICTING OF THE <br />PROPERTY AT TBEFOUR CORNERS OF WEST EIGHTH AND <br />POLK STREETS IN EUGENE, LANE COUNTY, OREGON <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />As a tentative report pursuant ,to Resolution of the <br />Cowuon Council of the City of Eugene directing the City <br />Planning Commission to prepare a report upon the redistrict- <br />ing of the property at the four corners of West Eighth and <br />Polk Streets in the City of Eugene, the City Planning <br />Commission hereby adopts as its tentative report to be sub- <br />mitted at a public hearing to be held in the Council Chambers <br />in the City Hall of the City of Eugene, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br />of Tuesday, May 21, 1940, the following proposed change: <br /> <br />A proposal to change the classification of the property <br />at the four- corners of West Eighth and POlk Streets in the <br />City of Eugene from a spot business district to a single <br />family residence district. <br /> <br />: '1, <br /> <br />Dated May 14, 1940. <br /> <br />/s/ <br /> <br />E. Calkins " <br />Secretary <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />At this time there came up for pUblic hearing and consideration <br />by the City Planning Commission a proposal to change the classifica- <br />tion of the property at the four corners of West Eighth and Polk Streets <br />in the City of Eugene from a spot business district to a single family <br />residence district, and there being no objections to the proposed <br />change and the, City Planning Commission having under consideration <br />its tentative report thereon, the said tentative report is hereby <br />adopted and made the permanent report of the Planning Commission, <br />and the Secretary is directed to transmit the same to the Common <br />Council of the City of Eugene to hold further.hearings thereon. <br />Dated May 21, 1940 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />V~AS, heretofore the Common Council has submitted to the <br />Planning Commission certain changes in the classification of the <br />property at the four corners of West Eighth and Polk Streets in the <br />City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, and the Planning Commission has held <br />a hearing, adopted a tentative report, and converted the same into a permane t <br />and final report and resubmitted it to the Common Council-~w:tth the <br />recommendation that the same be enacted into an ordinance, and <br />the Council has prepared and given its first reading of an ordinance <br />enacting said permanent report; <br /> <br />Now, Therefore, the City Recorder be and he is hereby <br />directed to prepare and cause to be published not less than <br />three times in the Eugene Register Guard in Eugene, Oregon, a <br />notice of a hearing to be held at the regular Council meeting <br />on Monday, June 10, 1940, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., said notices to be <br />published within the week commencing June 3, 1940. <br />~t ed May 27, 1940 <br /> <br />.... <br />
