M. MoodYV(approved); No. 756 for K. K. Robinson, 'approved; No. 757 for <br />p. A. Mackey, approved; No. 758 for A. C. Millerj approved; and No. 759 for Tom <br />38iKarrhus{ approved. <br /> <br />I Applications for a second Hand Dealers license were submitted from Chris <br />plson of the Rummage Shop(at 661 Willamette Street, and D. L. Hazelton of <br />~azelton's 2nd Hand Store, as the applications had been approved by the Chief of <br />J.?olice, motion was made and duly seconded that a license be granted to each of the <br />3~~bove applicants and it was so ordered. Licenses issued expire on June 30, 1940. <br /> <br />~ A request from the Police Department asking that a $1.00 refund be made to <br />Herbert W. Armstrong inasmuch as he had made two payments on the same traffic offense <br />~he request was unanimously granted and 'the City Recorder was instructed to include <br />40l~hiS bill with the regular May bills and it was so ordered. <br /> <br />I Councilman Reid stated that because of the present V~A Sidewalk pnogram the <br />pity Engineer was using one of his regular office men in the supervision of this <br />program and therefore requested that a man be hired to work in the office. City <br />~ngineer Clubb reported that pay for this additional help should be paid from the <br />lPavin~ Intersection Fund. Upon motion made and seconded the City Engineer <br />tas instructed to hire another rr~n and pay his salary from the Paving Intersection <br />411Fund. <br /> <br />Upon motion the council adjourned. <br /> <br />C.
