Eugene Hardware Company for the Austin-Western Patrol Sweeper at $4685.00j @ouncilman Reid made a motion to accept the offer of A. C. Haag and Company on the fuasis of a 30-day trial period. Councilman Hro~~son questioned ~he advisibility of this,saying he had made a thorough study of the Austin-Western and Elgin Sweepers ~nd would recommend the purchase of the Elgin Jr. On behalf of Councilman Carlson, €hairman of the Street Cooonittee, he also wished to report that Councilman Carlson ~ecommended the purchase of the Elgin Jr. Councilman Reid again spoke in behalf or jhe purchase of the Haag & Company machine.
