I <br /> ~'1 Simmons Kendall Company, a net price of $1244.61 subject to regular tax refund. <br /> .! "--~ This bid mentioned nothing regarding a trade in. These bids were referred to the <br /> tl Street Committee with the power to act. <br /> The new Fire truck purchased from the American LaFrance Foamite Corporatio <br /> having arrived and a letter from the Oregon Insurance Rating Bureau signed by Mr. <br /> White together with his report of the operation of the truck was read. The contrac <br /> price of the truck as entered into was $9800.00 less 3% which made a net of $9506.0 . <br /> The contract provided that a payment of $6000.00 be made within thirty days after I <br /> date of the invoice. The fire truck as delivered was not complete in that the <br /> ladders had not arrived and there were some other small adjustments to make. A <br /> motion was made by Pennington and seconded by Bond that the fire truck be accepted <br /> with the understanding that these other parts are to be furhished add that the <br /> 52 payment of $6000.00 be made at this time. Motion was carried. <br /> The Mayor stated that he had numerous complaints regarding missing street <br /> signs and it was pointed out that these street signs had been ordered a considerabl <br /> time ago. Mr. Barette stated that they had not been put up because of lack of <br /> 53 time by the Street Department to do this work. <br /> Councilman Koppe asked for some more time to complete a contract for the <br /> 54 operation of the old airport. <br /> There being no further business, t~~~ <br /> , <br /> J n J.e s <br /> City Recorder pro-tem <br /> Omitted from above was the fact that the City Engineer reported on certain <br /> cement sidewalk repairs that had been made, which,were examined by the Council, <br /> and the City Attorney was directed to prepare an assessment ordinance to be pre- <br /> sented at the Council meeting to be held October 27, 1941., ' <br /> I <br /> . <br /> . <br /> . <br /> . <br /> 'I <br /> .
