Ji I ! ~ 35 !l The Recorder reported that the Bethel Fire District had just asked for ~l a renewal of their contract to run from July 1, 1942 to June 30, 1943. :1 :l II The Recorder also reported that he had been able to get a second-hand II 36 :1 filing cabin'et through Mr. John Bell, in place of having- to buy a new one for :\ the use of th~~9.C.D. I il ., Engineer Clubb stated that there were two trees on the East side of :', ,I II Pearl' Street'just South of 11th Street which Councilman Hawn had recommended 1:1 should be removed. He stated that Mr. Brown wanted $30.00 for the removal of I: :.1 the trees down to the sidewalk level. He -stated that Mr. Hawn had not designated " 37 ,- where the $30.00 was to come from.
