Motion carried. <br /> <br />The Committee on Streets to whom was referred various matters, submitted <br />the following report: <br /> <br />"We recommend tha t the South side of 8th Avenue liVest between Charnel ton <br />Street and the alley West be designated as a one-hour parking zone. <br />, We further recommend that the request of Twin Oaks Builders' Supply Co. <br />for temporary use of parking area on Charnel ton between 5th and 6th Avenues <br />be granted, with the u~derstanding t~"at such space be used for shingle storage <br />only until November 1, 1945. <br />In the matter of a request from the Seventh-day Adventist Church for vaca- <br />tion of a portion of Taylor street, and the purchase of a strip of property in <br />the Northeast corner of the old airport, we recommend the following: <br />1. That the application for street vac8tion be granted. <br />2.
