J. Cloyes representing the Central Lane Planning Council relative to the proposed area survey on sewer collection and disposal. We recommend that the various bids for such a survey be referred to the office of the City Manager for a more complete investigation, looking to a complete study of the Eugene sewerage problem. We further recommend that the Manager's office contact the office of the U.S. Engineers to determine if possible the present status of the projected Amazon improvement, and its rela- tion to the city's sewerage program; the result of such investigation to be re- ported back to the Sewer Committee. at the earliest possible date. i Your committee further recommends that the applications of various property owners for extension of sewer lines on West 19th Avenue be held in abeyance I pending disposftion of an application for annexation in this area." I I, A report from the City Manager was submitted and read as follows: "In the past month this office has consulted with Engineering representa- tives of the Gamewell Fire Alarm Company and the Oregon S~ate Insuranqe Rating Bureau relative to post war planning for installation of a fire alarm system i for the City's high value district, together with consideration of other factorsl looking to'eventual insurance rating reclassification in the City of Eugene. i Within the period of the next two months, a survey on fire alarm needs will be i loode without cost or obligation on the part of the City. .
