Reclassification of various properties, was sub- <br />mitted and read as follows: <br /> <br />"BE I'!' RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Eugene that there <br />is hereby transmitted to the Planning Commission of the City of Eugene. the follow- <br />ing proposed changes o~f classifications, to-wit: <br /> <br />G. Delzer, R. A., Anthony and W. G. Dixon: Rezoning block 2, Westmore- <br />land Addition to Eugene from residential to busin,ess pro.perty. <br /> <br />W. M. Wohlander: That lot 1,- Block 18, College Hill Park Addition at <br />21st and Jefferson be reclassified from single family residential to multiple <br />family. <br /> <br />Lovall R. Rugh: That Lot 4, Block 1, Snodgrass Addition to Eugene, Lane <br />County, Oregon, at l6~h and Willamette be rezoned from single family to business. <br /> <br />George Olive Stanley: That Lot 5, Block 1, Snodgrass Addition at Wil- <br />lamette and 16th be rezoned from a single family to business. <br /> <br />W. Clubb: That Lot 8, Block 22, College Hill Park Addition, be re- <br />classified from multiple family to single family. <br /> <br />Dean Ralph Leighton: That the four blocks between Pearl and Patterson <br />Streets, and between 13th and 14th Streets, be reclassified from single family <br />to An apartment house district. <br /> <br />And directing the Planning Commission to adopt a Tentative Report and <br />to hold a hearing thereon in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall in the City of <br />Eugene on Tuesday, the 2nd day of April, 1946, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., after giving <br />due not.ice by publication once in the Eugene Register Guard. <br /> <br />In case of a favorable report a hearing is hereby called to be held in <br />the City Hall in.the regular April Council Meeting, April 8, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., <br />notice of which shall be given three times in the Eugene Register Guard, which <br />hearing shall be the final hearing." <br /> <br />It was moved by Crumbaker, seconded by Davis that the resolution be adopted. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />I _' <br /> <br />A resolution re: Ballot proposal for general tax levy of 7/10 of one <br />60 I mill for recreational purposes within the City of Eugene was submitted and read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />"BE IT, RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND C01fMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGEr-.TE, <br />OREGON, That there be submi tted to the electors of said City for their approval <br />or rejection, at a special city election to be held in the City of Eugene on <br />May 17, 1946, concurrently with the General Primary Election, the annexed Charter <br />Amendment, being, <br /> <br />.1 <br />.1 <br />I <br /> <br />An Act to amend the Charter of the City of Eugene by adding a new <br />Chapter thereto, authorizing and empowering the Common Council of <br />,the City of Eugene, for the purpose of maintaining and supervising <br />the public playgrounds and recreation areas for said City, to in- <br />clude in its general tax levy each year, such special levy as shall <br />be required, in the judgment of the Common Council, not to exceed <br />,seven tenths of one mill upon the dollar valuation, for the main- <br />tenance and supervision of public playgrounds and recreation areas <br />for the City of Eugene; All to be in addition .to existing levies. <br /> <br />This levy shall be in addition to and in excess of the constitutional <br />6 per cent limitation upon the City's ~ax levy. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The foregoing Resolution and proposed Amendment were filed in the Office <br />of the City Recorder on the 11th day of March, 1946. <br /> <br />The following is the form and numbers in which the question will be <br />submitted to the electors upon the official ballot. <br /> <br />Proposed by resolution of the Common Council and referred to the electors; <br /> <br />,) <br />.....' <br />
