Olin "for a permit to erec~ a residence with an attached garage within ten feet of University Street at the northwest corner of the intersection with Twenty-eightb Avenue. The purpose or the request was to get a greater separation from the house and garage on the west. Owing to the ample room on the lot for a different location of the garage, the Board recommends that the request be denied. A request was received from George R. Greer aSking to be allowed a four_teen foot- set-back from Monroe Street- at the north:-east corner of the inter- section with Nineteenth Avenue. The Board recommends that the request be granted on c0pdition that the puilding to the north of the proposed residence, which is out to the street line, be removed. A request from-David B. Evans, for the Northwest Oil Co. for a permit to erect a service shop on the lot at the southeast corner of the intersection of Lawrence Street and Thirteenth Avenue. This request is for a service station in an apartment zone and has been before the Board on previous occasions and denied. It was moved by Crumbaker, seconded by Davis that the report of the Board of Appeals be received and placed on file and that the redommendations contained therein be adopted. Motion carried. ,I ] A report from the Planning Commission on various applications for re- zoning, was submitted and read as follows: "As a permanent report pursuant to the Resolution of the Common Council of the City of Eugene, directing the City Planning Commission to prepare a report upon certain requests and recommendations for reclassification and rezoning of certain areas in said City, the City Planning Commission hereby adopts as its permanent report the following: The Planning Commission recommends the following rezoning and change of classification: 23 I .'1 , I I .,1 ,i :I ,1 I :1 I 'j UPON THE RECOW~NDATION OF THE PLANNING COh~SSION: The block area between 13th Avenue East, and 12th Avenue East bounded by Alder and Kincaid Stre~ts, from single family to business classification and zoning.
