Monthly estimates and approval for progress payments were submitted by the 4 City Engineer as follows: Final payment to Stein Bros.'for construction of Swimming Pool. $14,495.12 It was moved'by Crumbaker, seconded by Davis that the estimate as approved be received and.placed on file ?nd that the proper city officer~ be authorized to make,: payment in accordance with the approved estimates. REPORTS OF CO~~ITTEES 5 ~ report of the Public Works Committee re: proposed va9ation of a portion of Ina~ale Street~ etc., was 'submitted and read as follows: "Your Committee on Public Works to whom was referred various matters begs to report as follows: . ~-- 1. In the matter of the proposed vacation of a portion of Inavale" Street and the re-location of such street, your committee has investigated the proposal and recommends to the Common Council that no further action be taken with refer- ence to the vacating ordinance and that the matter be held in. Committee for further study. 6 2. In the matter of the requested vacation of the alley between 6th and 7th Avenues running easterly a distance of 159.5 feet from High Street, the Committee has investigated the Jl1att.er and recommends. to the Common Counc,il that no further action be taken in regard to this petition until such time as the final plans and specifications have been determined for the projected U. S. 99 Highway improvement adjacent to the property involved.
