<br />hearing is 'hereby called to be held at the City Hall at the 'next ensuing regular
<br />Council-meeting, commencing at 7:30 P.M., notice of which shall be given three times
<br />in the Eugene Register-Guard." .

<br />23 A Resolution - Re: Bid for sale of improvement bonds, was submitted and'read
<br />as follows:
<br />
<br />~WHEREAS, due and legal notice was given by the City or Eugene of the
<br />issuance of $48,578.96,' Series B Improvement Bonds, and said notice was duly
<br />pUblished that bids would be received not later than March 8, 1948, at 7:30 P.M.,
<br />at the City Hall, Eugene, Oregon, and
<br />
<br />VmEREAS bids were received and opened by the City Manager in the presence of
<br />the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Eugene for_ the purchase of said Im"-
<br />provement Bonds on, March 8, 1948, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., and 0
<br />
<br />WHEREAS after due consideration by the Common Council of the City of Eugene
<br />it was determined tha.t the bid of the First National Bank of Eugene (Oregon) for
<br />said Improvement Bonds was the best bid received therefor,
<br />.'
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by unanimous vpte ~f the. Common Council of
<br />the City of Eugene that the bid of the First National. Bank' of Eugene (Oregon) in
<br />the sum of $100.02 for each $100.00 of said bonds bearing interest at the rate of
<br />1 3/4 % per annum be, and the same is hereby, accepted."

<br />Parks.

<br />The City Manager also submitted a letter from Mr. R. S.,Shelley. At the
<br />conclusion of the hearing the Council Bill was held for further study and con-
<br />sideration.

<br />It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Bailey that the matter of pending ~9ne re-
<br />classification of the Henry Byers property on Franklin Blvd.' be -ta-kenfr-olti -the
<br />table bv the Council and brought on for consideration. Motion carried by the
<br />following vote: AYE - Hawn, Davis, Bail~y, Allen, Wells and Hanns. NO - Crumbaker
<br />and Johnson. :: :

<br />It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that Council Bill No. 316 be read the
<br />second time by title with ~nanimous consent. Motion.carried.

<br />It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the City 'Attorney be instructed to
<br />publish notice of hearing on the rezoning proposal contained in Council Bill 316
