IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE REQUEST OF THE BEST PIE COMPANY TO UTILIZE THE <br />BUILDING AT 147-1/2 W. 17TH AVENUE FOR MAKING OF PIE~ BE-DENIED. PREVIOUS USE OF <br />THIS BUILDIN~ FOR SUCH PURPOSES HAS BEEN A NON-CONFO~MING USE AND CREATED CONSI.DERABLE <br />NUISANCE IN THrS R-2, RESIDENTIAL AREA. THIS IS A WELL <br />DEfiNED SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL AREA AND NO JUSTifiCATION COULD BE M~DE FOR PERMITTING <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A DUPLEX IN THIS AREA. <br /> <br />H. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE REQUEST OF DR. CHARLES E. TAYLOR TO UTILIZE PART OF <br />HIS HOUSE ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER Of 19TH AND MILL STREET FOR HIS PROFESSIONAL OFFICE <br />BE DENIED. <br /> <br />2. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS BE AUTHORIZED TO SIGN A THREE <br />YEAR LEASE EXTENDING THE PRESENT LEASE OF THE INTER-CITY SAND AND GRAVEL COMPANY TO <br />FASTEN AND ANCHOR CABLES ACROSS THE WILLAMETTE RIVER ON CITY OWNED PROPERTY.
