THE COMMITTEE DROVE OUT TO THE PROPOSED SUNNY HOLLOW AREA, RECENTLY PETITIONED FOR <br />ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF EUGENE. IN STUDYING THE.ANNEXATION OF THIS AREA TO THE CI TY, <br />I T WAS NOTED THE LARGE AMOUNT OF UNOCCUPIED AREAS AND THE LONG DISTANCE NECESSARY TO <br />PROJECT THE TRUNK tiNE SEWER SYSTEM TO SERVE THIS SPARSELY POPULATED AREA. PROPER <br />DRAINAGE WILL ALSO PRESENT A MAJOR PROBLEM TO THE CI TY IF THIS AREA IS ANNEXED. No <br />RECOMMENDATION WAS MADE AT THIS TIME AS FURTHER ST0DY is DESIRED. <br /> <br />.e <br /> <br />2. THIS IS AL0 HILLSIDE GROUND WITH ONLY ~ FEW HOMES LOCATED ON IT. <br />PROBLEMS OF FURNISHING SANITARY SEWERS OR ANY OTHER IMPROVEMENTS WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT <br />AND COSTLY. IT WAS THE OPINION OF THE COMMITTEE THAT IF THIS AREA WERE ANNEXED, SANITARY <br />TRUNK LIN~ SEWERS COULD NOT BE EXTENDED TO SERVE THE AREA FOR SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE. <br />No RECOMMENDATION WAS MADE AS MORE STUDY IS DESIRED. I - <br /> <br />3. THE RE~UEST OF R. E. BUCK TO VACATE THE NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY BETW~EN MONROE AND BLAIR <br />AND BETWEEN 7TH AND 8TH AVENUE WAS REVIEWED. INASMUCH AS THIS ALLEY HAS A SEWER LINE <br />IN IT AND MIGHT POSSIBLY BE NEEDED FOR FUTURE UTILITIES OR MUNICIPAL SERVICE, IT WAS <br />RECOMMENDED THAT THE REQUEST BE DENIED. <br /> <br />4. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE CO~NCIL AUTHORIZE THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE <br />THE RENEWAL OF THE LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF EUGENE AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA <br />FOR THE ARMY AT 13TH AND CHAMBERS STREET UPO~ A FIVE YEAR BASIS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />5.
