THE DIS- <br />CUSSION COVERED SUCH CONSIDERATIONS AS THE POSSIBI LITY AND DESIRABILITY OF PERMANENTLY <br />DEDICATING'THE AIRPARK AS NOW LOCATED; DISCONTINUING THE AIRPARK ALTOGETHER; THE IDEA OF <br />DISCONTINUING THE AIRPARK AND RELOCATING IT AT ANOTHER CLOSE-IN SITE. PROPOSAL TO WIDEN NORTH SIDE OF WEST BROADWAY AND EAST SIDE OF CHARNEL TON AT SITE <br />OF BON MARCHE BUILDING. IT WAS EXPLAINED BY THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ENGINEER THAT IT <br />WOULD BE DESIRABLE TO WIDEN THE NORTH SIDE OF BROADWAY FROM THE ALLEY BETWEEN OLIVE AND <br />CHARNELTON TO CHARNEL TON AND THE EAST SIDE OF CHARNEL TON STREET FROM BROADWAY TO THE <br />ALLEY BETWEEN BROADWAY AND 8TH AVENUE FROM A WIDTH OF 17 FEET TO A WIDTH OF 21 FEET. <br />IT WAS NOTED THAT THIS WOULD RESULT IN A 42 FOOT STREET FOR THIS PORTION OF BROADWAY AND <br />A 38 FOOT STREET ALONG THE ONE-HALF BLOCK ON CHARNELTON. <br /> <br />IT IS THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE COMMITTEE THAT THIS PROPOSED PROJECT BE APPROVED." <br /> <br />IT WAS MOVED BY CRUMBAKER, SECONDED BY BOOTH THAT THE REPORT OF THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />COMMITTEE BE ADOPTED.
