SOME OF THESE ADVANTAGES ARE IND~CATED AS fOLLOWS: (A) MORE DIS- <br />TANCE BETWEEN HEADQUARTERS STATION AND THE PROPOSED SUB-STATION; (B) BETTER <br />ACCESS FROM MCKINLEY STREET AND BROADWAY TO THE INDUSTRIAL LOCATION~ALSO <br />BETTER ACCESS TO RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT No. I WHICH IS PROTECTED <br />UNDER CONTRACT; (C) PROeOSEDPROPERTY BETTER ADAPTED TO FIRE DEPARTMENT USE <br />WHERE IT IS CONTEMPLATED THAT TWO COMPANIES WILL BE LOCATED WITH REPAIR AND <br />DRILL FACILITIES. <br /> <br />THERE WAS SOME DISCUSSION IN THE COMMITTEE AS TO THE VARIOUS ACCESS ROUTES <br />WHICH WOULD BE FOLLOWED FROM THE PROPOSED BROADWAY AND MCKINLEY STREET; LOCA- <br />TION AS WELL AS THE LIKELIHOOD OF BROADWAY'S BEING EXTENDED THROUGH THE PRO- <br />POSED LOCATION. ,IT WAS INDICATED THAT THE INDUSTRIAL AREA IS A PLANNED AREA <br />AND THAT THERE IS NO'PROPOSAL TO' EXTEND BROADWAY; THAT IT IS~ HOWEVER~ PRO- <br />POSED THAT 7TH PLACE BE EXTENDED WHICH WOULD SERVE AS, A MEANS Of TRAVEL TO <br />THE SENECA AREA. <br /> <br />IT WAS AGREED THAT THE PROPOSED SITE IS MORE ADAPTABLE TO THE USE Of THE <br />FI~E DEPARTMENT~ AND IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY AS <br />INDICATED ABOVE BE MADE AND THAT THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS BE AUTHORIZED <br />TO SIGN THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS'." <br /> <br />No ACTION WAS NECESSARY ON THE REPORT OF THE COM~ITTEE OF THE WHOLE. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />II <br />I <br /> <br />IT WAS MOVED BY MRS.
