<br />PROVED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, THE DEDICATION OF 47 ACRES FOR PARK
<br />DEVELOPMENT, THE ROADS TO BE IMPROVED, ,PARKING FAC1LIT,IES to BE DEVELOPED
<br />BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE BUREAU OF' PARK AND RECREATION, THE LAND
<br />TO BE ZONED AND SOLD FOR COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT, AND THE PROPERTIES TO
<br />BE SUBDIVIDED INTO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING SITES. THESE PLANS WERE LATER

<br />LOCAL AUTOMOTIVE TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN MOVEMENT IN FRONT O~ SOUTH
<br />EUGENE HIGH SCHOOL. FOR THESE REASONS IT WOULD BE BETTER TO FOLLOW
<br />THE ORIGINAL PLAN OF MAKING 18TH A 4-LANE ROUTE THROUGHOUT ITS ENTIRE
<br />LENGTH WHENEVER THE TRAFFIC LOAD DEMANDS SUCH ACTI,ON. As A SUPPLE-
<br />MENTARY BENEFIT, OF NO SMALL IMPORTANCE, IS THE RETENTION OF 19TH AVE
<br />AS A REASONABLY QUIET STREET THROUGH A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD."
