<br />,....-I The adjourned meeting of the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, adj ourned
<br />~ from the meeting of November 25, 1963, was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in' the Counc.il
<br />~ Chamber on November 26, 1963 by His Honor Mayor Edwin E.Cone with the following Council-
<br />0: men present: Mr. Chatt, Mrs:Lauris, Messrs. Swanson, Christensen, Deverell, and Purdy.
<br />00 Messrs. Crakes and Hawk were absent.
<br /> The minutes of the regular meeting held November 12, 1963; of the special meeting held
<br /> November 18, 1963; and of the adjourned meeting held November 21, 1963, as mailed, to members
<br />e of the Council, were approved.
<br /> NEW BUSINESS
<br /> 1 Mayor Cone gave a very brief report on his visit to Chinju, Korea, Eugene's Sister
<br /> City, stating that the people of Chinju were very much interested in the City of Eugene,
<br /> and that its citizens had given the Cone family a very warm reception. The family re-
<br />I ceived several gifts from the Mayor and citizens of Chinju, and there seemed to be no limit
<br /> to the things that they tried to do to make the Cone family's stay in Chinju a very pleas-
<br /> ant: experience. .
<br /> 2 The following change orders in construction at the new City Hall were presented:
<br /> (a) Completion of Civil Defense Upit-Federal $21,250.00
<br /> City 25,265.81
<br /> Less previously installed 5.995.74
<br /> Additional City's Share $19,270.07
<br /> (b) Plastic Pool - Add 33,142.65
<br /> (c) Council Chamber Mural - Add 4.500.00
<br /> Total Change in Construction - Add $56,912.72
<br /> Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to approve the change orders as outlined. Rollcall
<br /> vote. All councilmen present voting aye, except Mr. Christensen voting no, motion carried.
<br /> 3 A monthly payment estimate, as approved by the Public Works Department, was presented
<br /> as follows:

<br />I 5th - Sanitary Sewer, 8th Avenue Trunk Sewer $ 10,928..25
<br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt that the monthly payment estimate as read be al-
<br /> lowed and proper City officials authorized to draw the necessary warrant. Rollcall vote.
<br /> All councilmem present voting aye, motion carried.
<br /> 4 The following tabulation of bids was presented as opened November 21, 1963 at 10:00a.m.:
