Mr.Christensen <br /> moved seconded by Mr. Crakes to receive the request ana place it on file. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 3 12. Road Dedication Leaburg Canal (EWEB) - The Eugene Water & Electric Board <br /> requested execution of a deed dedicating to Lane County for road pur- <br /> poses a strip of lana approximately 10 feet by 875 feet which is part of <br />I the Leaburg Canal right-of-way and located in Government lots 3 and 4 of <br /> Section 31, T16S, R2E, W.M. Mr. Christensen moved seconded by Mr. Chatt <br /> to authorize the requested deed. Motion carried. <br /> 4 13. Assignment of Easement, Bonneville Power Administration (EWEB) - The <br /> Eugene Water & Electric Board requested execution of an Assignemtn.and <br /> Grant of an EWEB easement to Bonneville Power Administration for con- <br /> struction of a tap to the BPA line south of Dillard Substation. Mr. <br /> Christensen moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to authorize executi<!m of the <br /> Assignment and Grant as requested. Motion carried. <br /> 5 14. Paving and Sanitary Sewers in King's Way Park (east of Gilham Road north <br /> of Jeppeson Acres Road) - This was petitioned by owners of 100% of the <br /> total front footage 0f the properties to be assessed for the paving and <br /> sewers. Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to approve the petition. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 6 15. Airport Terminal Building Dedication Committee - It was recommended that <br /> the Mayor appoint a committee for the dedication of the Airport terminal <br /> building. The Mayor indicated he would do this at a later date. <br /> 7 16. City Symbol - Discussion of a possible change in the City's Seal and de- <br /> sign for use as a City Shield and letterhead was discussed, with two <br /> samples being shown of designs submitted by-two designers. Motion carri~d unanimously and the bill was read the <br /> second time by council bill number only. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt that the rules be suspended aqd the bill read the third time <br /> by council bill number only, with u~animous consent of the Council.
