<br /> ~ <br /> 71 <br />e <br /> 6/29/64 <br />I 1 Junction City Water Control District - The City Manager read portions of a petition for the formation <br /> of a subdistrict of the Junction City Water Control District in which the City of Eugene would be in- <br /> volved in the general area of Mahlon Sweet Field. He recommended signing the petition as it would be <br /> to Eugene's advantage so that funds could be supplied and work done by the Federal government in the <br /> drainage of the area. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to approve signing the petition. Motion carried. <br /> 2 Bill - Bob Smith - Mr. Bob Smith presented a bill in the amount of $1000 for work done in preparing <br /> specifications for the terminal building restaurant furniture and fixtures at Mahlon Sweet Field. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to allow the bill and authorize proper City officials to draw <br /> the necessary warrant. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried. <br /> 3 City Hall Dedication Recording - Radio Station KERG presented the City of Eugene with a tape recording <br />e of the ceremony held Saturday, June 27, 1964, dedicating the new City Hall building. <br /> Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Hawk to extend thanks to KERG for the tape. Motion carried. <br /> 4 E. A. Barton Expense - The City Manager explained that Mr. E. A. Barton, who had previously made a <br /> parking survey for the City of Eugene and the University of Oregon, would be in Oregon the latter part <br /> of July and would also visit Eugene as a followup to the report of the survey. He would expect to be <br />I reimbursed for his expenses for such a trip. <br /> Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to authorize an expenditure not to exceed $450 for the expenses <br /> of Mr. Barton. Rollcall vote.
