Mohler Apartments. 1070 West 6th - Mr. Mohler had sub- <br /> mitted redesigned plans on his request for parking variance for his <br /> apartment project. However, the plans were submitted on November 5, <br /> 1964. The ordinance establishing parking requirements became effective <br /> on October 28, 1964. Mr. Swanson moved seconded by Mr. Chatt that <br /> Mr. Mohler be required to comply with the Code. Motion carried. <br /> 2 17. Resignation. Councilman C. Dan Christensen - Mr. Chatt moved seconded <br /> by Mr. Crakes to accept the resignation of C. Dan Christensen as <br /> councilman from Ward IV and recommend the appointment of Mr. R. E. <br /> "Bill" McNutt. Motion carried." <br />e Mrs. Lauris moved seconded. by Mr. Chatt to approve Item 16 of.the Committee report. <br /> Mr. Mohler was present and objected to the action of the Council, stating that though <br /> he was present at the Committee meeting wherein directions were given to him to have <br /> a revised plan before the Building Department by October 28, 1964, he had not under- <br /> stood the procedure. It was pointed out that discussion had been held with Mr.Mohler <br /> after the Committee meeting onthis point, and it was flet that he understood the re- <br />I quirements. <br /> The question 'was called for, and motion carried. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to approve Item 17 of the Committee report. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 3 Planning Commission Report - November 23. 1964 <br /> l. Vacation alleys between 2nd and 3rd. High and Mill - Lane County Housing Authority <br /> requested vacation of the alleys in this block in connection with construction of <br /> the low-rent housing unit. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the <br /> request. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to implement the vacation of the alleys as <br /> requested. Motion carried. <br /> ORDINANCES <br /> 4 Council Bill No. 6839 - Levying assessments for sanitary sewer on West Broadway from Garfield <br /> Street to 580 feet west was submitted and read in full on November 9, 1964 and held over for proper <br /> notice of assessment to be given owners Of affected property a~d now brought back for consideration <br /> with no written protests on file. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br />I only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the <br /> second time by council bill number only. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt that the bill be read the third time by council bill numb~r <br /> only, with unanimous consent of the Council.
