~ 363 e 7/12/65 I Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Hawk to approve the recommendation. Motion carried. 1 4. Oversize Curb Cut. Mill between 2nd and 3rd. H&H Properties - Mr. Holleque of H&H Properties requested waiver' of cur.b requirement in front of their property on Mill Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. The Public Works Department recommended two 30-foot curb cuts separated by a l4-foot island. Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to grant the curb cuts as recommended by the Public Works, Department. Motion carried. 2 5. Resignations - The following resignations were presented: Library Board - Mrs. Ralph Cobb, term expiring January 1, 1968 Human Rights Commission - Mrs. William H. Sills, term expiring January 1, 1968 " " " - Marshall N. Goldstein, term expiring January 1, 1966 Civil Service Commission - Frank Bocci, term expiring January 1, 1970 e Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the resignations be accepted. Motion carried . 3 6. Widening Coburg Road. Option Snellstrom - The City Attorney recommended purchase of property from Orrin P. Snellstrom for $1450 for right-of-way for Coburg Road. Con- demnation proceedings had previously been authorized in the amount of $1270, the property being located at 795 Coburg Road. I Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Hawk to purchase the Snellstrom property for $1450. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried. 4 7. Housing Code Board of Appeals - The Council was requested to approve appointment of the Building Code Board of Appeals members as members of the Housing Code Board of Appeals until a new Housing Board is appointed. .The members to act on appeals from the Housing Code are: Richard A. Chambers, 1770 Skyline Boulevard .- Term expires January 1, 1966 Louis F. Bonson, 390 West 23rd Avenue " January 1, 1967 William W. Wilson, 2777 Sorrel Way " January 1, 1968 Paul Edlund, 547 Ful-Vue Drive " January 1, 1969 Leslie P. Hardie, 2472 Pioneer Pike " January 1, 1970 Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve appointment of the members of the Building Code Board of Appeals to act upon appeals from the Housing Code. Motion carried. ORDINANCES 5 Council Bill No. .7206 - Levying assessments for sewer in Willakenzie Sewer Improvement District No. WS-63-5, submitted and read the first time in full on June 28, 1965 and held over for proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected pro~rty, was withdrawn and a corrected souncil bill will be presented at a later date. I 6 Council Bill No. 7207 - Levying assessments for sanitary sewer in Willakenzie Sewer Improvement District No. WS-64-2, submitted and read the first time in full on June 28, 1965 and held over fox: proper notice of assessment to be.given owners of affected property, was brought back for considera- tion with no written protests on file. Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the bill be read the second time by council bill number only, with.unanimous consent of the Council. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the e second time by council bill number only. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 14036. 7 Council Bill No. 7208 - Levying assessments for paving streets within 8th Addition to Edgewood Estates, submitted and read the first time in full on June 28, 1965 and held over for proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected property, was brought back for consideration with no written protests on file. Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mrs.Lauris that the bill be read the second time by council bill number I only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the second time by council bill number only.
