<br /> age plan were presented to Council members as proposed by Pacific Hospital Association.
<br /> Meetings are scheduled on July 14 and 15, 1965 in Harris HaU to further explain the
<br /> coverage and answer questions from City employes. . All City employes have been requested
<br /> to indicate whether they prefer the additional coverage on a ballot to be returned to
<br /> the City's personnel office. No.action was taken.
<br />2 6. Bid Opening Crawler Loader/Dozer, June 22, 1965 - A tabulation of the bids opened on a
<br /> crawler-type tractor was presented with the Public Works recommendatiori that the Case
<br /> 1000-D be purchased from Case Power and Equipment Company on their bid price of
<br /> $15,685.00. A ease backhoe attachment now owned by the.City could ~e used on this
<br /> tractor. Dr. Purdy moved- seconded by Mr. Hawk to purchase the Case 1000-D:for$15,685.
<br /> Motion carried.
<br />3 7. Oversize Curb.Cut, Star Retail Lumber, 540 Grant Street - The Council members had
<br /> viewed the location of the requested cut, and Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to e
<br /> deny the oversize curb cut. Mot.ion carried.

<br />4 8. Oversize Curb Cut, Jones Oil, Company, Grant near 6th - This request was for permission
<br /> to make one 40-foot cut and one 25-foot cut at this location. : The Public Works Depart-
<br /> ment recommended approval, and Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. Hawk to grant permission
<br /> to make the extra length~curb cut. Motion carried.

<br />5 a. West Amazon Right-of-way, 15th and Grant - The Planning Commission recommended
<br /> purchase of property at the southeast corner of 15th and Grant (Peter Ruzicka)
<br /> for, possible right-of-way for Wes:t Amazon Highway. Mr. Chatt. moved seconded by
<br /> Dr. Purdy to negotiate for purchase of: the property. Motion carried.

<br />6 b. Right-of-way parallel to South Willamette. 34th and Olive - The Planning Commis-
<br /> sion recommended: purchase of a portion of :the .Joseph Harl property at 160 West
<br /> 34th Avenue for possible right-oaf-way for an arterial to run roughly parallel to
<br /> South Willamette. The recommendation was to purchase a large enough portion of
<br /> the: proper.ty to. ensure salability of the piece should it not be needed for the . .
<br /> right:-of-way. Mr:. Chatt moved: seconded b~ Dr. Purdy to negotiate for purchase
<br /> of the property. Motion carried.
<br />7 c. Vacation Easement, Hideaway Court off Oakway Road - The Planning Commission recom-
<br /> mended approval of a request by Robert E. and Ruth W. Drew for vacation ofa portim
<br /> of the utility easement on the west line of Lot 1, Block 1, Belding Plat. Mr. Ander-
<br /> son moved, seconded by Mr. Hawk to approve the vacation. Motion carried.

<br /> would amend the City Code relating to vagrancy by declaring as. v~~rants pers6ns willfully

<br /> as swimming pools, bus stops, playgrounds, etc. , for the purpose of annoying, bothering,
<br /> or molesting child ren. Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Hawk to approve the proposed
