Douglas Bridges.- The City Manager announced the resignation of Douglas Bridges, superintendent of recreation in the Parks Department, who has accepted the position of director of Parks and Recreation for the city of Vancouver, Washington. Mr. Bridges will leave on September 20, 1965. 2 15. Lunch Orders. Committee Meetings Eugene Hotel- The City Manager: stated that Paul Lansdowne, manager,of the Eugene Hotel, had written informing that lunch orders for the Council's: committee meetings will be taken at 12:30 p.m.- in order to alleviate some, of the delay in service because of 'the. noon rush. Conditional Uses' -' Nursing Homes. Day Nurseries:. etc. -:The Planning Commission: recommended amend- I ing the comprehensive zoning plan concerning: conditional use permits in RA Outer Residential and ~-l Single Family Residential districts for day nurseries, hospitals, group care homes, nursing homes, and homes for the aged. The recommended amendment would also add a new sectwn delineating the description and purpose of conditional use: permits and procedure of granting them. No one appeared to be heard on the recommendation, and an ordinance will be presented at a later meeting for"consideration.
