<br /> The adjourned meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon - adjourned from the
<br /> regular meeting held on September 13, ,1965.- was called to order in the Council Chamber on Septem-
<br /> ber 27, 1965 at 7:30 p.m. PDT by His Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone with the following councilmen present:
<br /> Mr. Chatt, Mrs. Lauris, Messrs. Crakes, Hawk, Purdy, Anderson, and Lassen. Mr. McNutt was absent.
<br /> Minutes of the meeting held September 13, 1965, as mailed to members of the Council, were
<br /> approved.
<br /> NEW BUSINESS
<br /> 1 Parking Ticket Collection Program - The City Manager explained a proposed program of placing col-
<br /> lection boxes in downtown area banks, two University branch banks, and branch banks on 17th and
<br />e 18th for parking meter violation payments. The boxes would be supplied and maintained by the City
<br /> with liability coverage to be carried by the City.
<br /> Mr. Chatt moved ,seconded by Mrs. Lauris to approve an agreement between the City and the several
<br /> banks to place collection boxes for meter violation payments in the banks. Rollcall vote. All
<br /> councilmen present voting aye, motion carried.
