Walkway, Ferry Street Bridge - A letter was read from the Lane County Housing Authority expressing appreciation of the tenants of Parkview Terrace, the 10w- rm t housing facility at 3rd and High, for the walkway constructed under the Ferry Street ramp. The letter was received and filed. 2 11. Washington-Jefferson Bridge - A letter was read from the State Highway Department stating that an investigation is in progress regarding traffic problems which may occur if the 1-105 bridge across the Wi11amette River is opened to traffic prior to the completion of a couplet to 6th and 7th Avenues. The letter was received and filed. 3 -12. Bli>rids , Parks and Recreat ion Community Buildings- - It was announced that bid opening has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. PST, October 31, 1966, for the sale of bonds, e $1,000,000, for the community buildings planned by the Parks Department. The sale will be awarded on October 31, 1966 at 7:30 p.m. PST. No action was taken. 4 13. Traffic , 7th and High - Councilman Anderson stated that turning from High Street onto 7th Avenue and again onto the Ferry Street Bridge npppoach is difficult and I suggested a study to find ways to improve the traffic flow.
