Condemnation, Sewer Easement west of Bailey Hill south of 11th, Bartels ~ The City <br /> Manager reported that since condemnation proceedings were authorized on property <br /> owned by William and Kathryn Bartels for sewer easement at the Septe~ber 26, 1966 <br /> Council meeting, agreement had been r_eached .under yhich the, sewer easement will be <br /> granted by the Bartels in return for deferral of assessment against the property. <br /> Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to drop condemnation proceedings and approve the agreement. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> , ... . <br /> 2 2. Condemnation Sewer Easements, Douglas ,Drive, Curtis and, Stiffler - Authorization <br /> was requested to start-r.condemnation proceedings against ,properties.,on Douglas Drive <br /> in the ownership of Alan B. and Earline S. Curt is, and Albert F. and Shirley L. <br /> Stiffler for .sewereasements. <br /> Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to authorize condemnation. Motion carried. e <br /> 3 3. Parking Prohibition,. Highway 99NfromRoosevelt Boulevard to north City limits - <br /> The Public Works Department reported that unrestricted, parking in this area is <br /> causing a traffic hazard, and that installation of curbs and driveways by private <br /> firms is creating problems with regard, to future paving ,and drainage. <br /> Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to send a resolution to the State Highway Department request- I <br /> prohibition of parking on Highway 99N from Roosevelt, Boulevard to the ,north City limits. Motion <br /> carried. . <br /> 4 4. Signals and Parking Restrictions, Oakway and Coburg - The Public Works. Department <br /> recommended prohibition of parking on Oakway Road from Coburg Road to Oakmont Way. <br /> Also, that the street be ,marked to two-lane traffic in each dir.ection with a median, <br /> left-turn moving lane, and with transition to one lane for northbound traffic between <br /> Fairway Loop. and o akmont ., It was also recommended .~hat left turn from Oakway "to, . <br /> Coburg be prohibited a~ all times. Willakenzie Land Use Study - The Planning Commission recommended the Central Lane <br /> Planning Council be r~quested to work with the:Planning staff in updating the, <br /> ,Eugene Development Plan for the Willakenzie urban planning area. <br /> Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to approve,the Planning Commission recommendation: Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 7 b. Street Name Change, Wenrayto Stonegate - The Planning Commissio~ recommended <br /> changing the namecof....Wenray Street in'Bardell'Estates,Subdivision to "Stonegate e <br /> Street". <br /> : <br /> Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Mr: Chattto approve the street name change.
