Perlich - A l~tter from Gordon Perlich was. presented asking the Council for a rehearin~ of his request for permission to retain the asphaltic sidewalk_in front of , his residence at 2358 Terrace View Drive. Mr. perlich said he was not informed of the date the, Council was to consider the request and wants to appear before the Council to answer any questions there may be. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. McNutt to rehear the request. Motion carried. - Mr. Anderson'moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to approve Items ,9 through 13 of the Committee report. HJR re: Tax Limitation - The City Manager called'the Council's attention to a proposed House Joint Resolution which, if adopted, would freeze Oregon cities' tax base at the 1966-67' dollar lev'el.and repeal the 6% 1'imitation feature. Any increase would have to be submitted to the people. He said if such legislation is adopted there would be no fle~ibility for the Budget Committee and: Council without: an election to take care of any increase in services or inflat ionary trends,' and could result in' an election every year on the City's budget.
