<br />e <br /> <br />2.0~ <br /> <br />2/6/67 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Public Transportation <br />Councilman Purdy remarked on the possible need for a public transportation study, noting the need <br />for public transportation to serve Parkview Terrace and the Celeste Campbell center. He asked for <br />a staff recommendation as to whether an independent study should be initiated, or included with the <br />Central Eugene Project. The City Manager said since the Mayor's annual message cited the need for <br />action with regard to public transportation, he has been making inquiries concerning people quali- <br />fied to make such studies. He said he has also been in contact with the Emerald Transportation <br />System and their attorney concerning the possibility of extending bus service to Celeste Campbell <br />Center. The Administrative Assistant reported a local' service organization is interested in pur- <br />chasing a bus to serve Parkview Terrace and the Center. <br /> <br />Mr. McNutt moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to preceed with investigation of a public transportation <br />study.
