Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Committee meeting held May 4, 1967: <br /> <br />"Present: Mayor Cone; Councilmen Purdy, Lauris, Anderson, Lassen, Hayy;:rard, McDonald, and <br />Wingard; City Manager and staff; and others. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />1. Park Land. Fox Hollow Area - Councilwoman Lauris proposed acquisition of approxi- <br />mately 112 acres in the Fox Hollow area south of the City. She said the land is <br />Qot suitable for subdivision and is ideal for park purposes. It can be purchased <br />for $2500 per acre, possibly over a la-year period for about $30,000 per year plus <br />interest. She suggested that Lane County be invited to join inthe purchase, and <br />moved, seconded by Mrs. Hayward, that the staff investigate the possible purchase <br />of the land. Motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve Item 1 of the Committee report.
