Motion carried. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />5. Retaining Wall, Cresta de Ruta, Mention - Robert C. Mention requested permission to <br />extend an existing retaining wall about, six feet into the street right-of-way at <br />2695 Cresta de Ruta in order to stabilize an embankment created ih forming a driveway. <br />The Public Works Department recommended issuance of a revocable permit for the re- <br />quested retaining wall. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve the recommendation. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />6. Curb Sidewalk, 28th from Almaden to Chambers - The Public Works Departmentrequested <br />permission to locate sidewalk on 28th Avenue west of Almaden so that when the street <br />is widened the sidewalks would be at thecurb. Such location would conform with those <br />~ast of Almaden. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve curb location as requested. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />, <br />7. Assessment Deferral, Pierce and Dart - The Public Works Department requested permis- <br />sion to defer sewer assessment against property in the ownership of Al Pierce and <br />Ken Dart located south of the Belt Line Road between Gilham Road and Norkenzie Road <br />until such time as access to the property is available. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. ,Anderson to approve deferment of the assessment. ,Mot~on carried. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />8. Paving, Sanitary and Storm Sewers, Mahalo Hills Addition; Fox Hollow Elementary School; <br />and area within Tax Lot 18-03-17-03-700 - Petitioned by owners of 100% of the property <br />to be assessed. The Public Works Department recommended that the section of Larkwood <br />Street from Foothill Drive to Mahalo Hills Addition be dedi~ated and paved as part of <br />the project to p~ovide the main access to the new school. <br />Paving, Sanitary and Storm Sewers, Foothills West 1st Addition - Petitioned by owners <br />of 93% of the property to be assessed. <br />Paving, Sanitary and Storm Sewers, Ellendale 9th Addition -,Petitioned by owners of <br />100% of affected property. <br />Paving, Sanitary and Storm Sewers, Edgewood West Addition - Petitioned by owners of <br />100% of property to be assessed. <br />Paving 43rd from West Amazon to 325 feet west - Petitioned by owners of 100% of <br />abutting property. <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve the petitions. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />9. Property Exchange, Hendricks Park, Soreng - John E. Soreng, 1680 Pearl Street, pro- <br />posed a trade of property in hiw ownership north and west of the intersection of <br />Malabar Drive and Madrona Drive for City property facing Fairmount Boulevard in <br />Hendricks Park. The Park Department and Planning Commission recommended approval <br />of the exchange subject to certain conditions. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to proceed with the exchange as recommended. Rollcall vote. <br />All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried. <br /> <br />Gouncilman Purdy left the meeting. <br /> <br />ORDINANCES <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />Council Bill No. 7986 - Levying assessments for paving streets in 2nd Addition to Monta Vista <br />Park' 28th Avenue from west boundary of Monta Vista Park to 400 feet east; and sanitary and storm <br />sewers in 2nd Addition to Monta Vista Park, apd Lots 15 through 18, Blocks 1 and 2, Monta Vista Park, <br />and area between 28th Avenue and south boundary 2nd Addition to Monta Vista Park from west boundary of <br />2nd Addition to Monta Vista Park to 160 feet west, submitted and read t,he first time in full on <br />April 24, 1967 and held over to this meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners <br />of affected properties, was brought back for consideration with no written protests on file. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. H?yward that the <br />number only, with unanimous consent of the Council. <br />the second time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />bill be read the second time by council bill <br />Motion carried unanimously am the bill was read <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Hayward that the <br />number only, with unanimous consent of the Council. <br />the third time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />bill be read the third time by council bill <br />Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Hayward that the bill be approved and given final passage.
