Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt that the bill be held over and proper notice of assessment given owners of affected properties for hearing on February 5, 1968. Motion carried. 2 Council Bill No. 8238 - Levying assessments for paving Cleveland Street from Cross Street to Roosevelt Bou~evard, and sanitary sewer within 160 feet of east and west margins of Cleveland Street from Roosevelt Boulevard to Cross Street was submitted and read in full. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt that the bill be held over to the February 5, 1968 Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. 3 Council Bill No. 8239 - Levying assessments for paving Cross Street from Railroad Boulevard to Polk Street was submitted and read in full. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt that the bill be held over to the February 5, 1968 Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. 4 Council Bill No. 8240 - Levying assessments for paving Garden Way from Harlow Road to south boundary of Holiday Park Addition, and storm sewer on Garden Way from Harlow Road to Hickory Avenue was submitted and read in full. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt that the bill be held over to the February 5, 1968 Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. 5 Council Bill No. 8241 - Levying assessments for paving alley between 6th and 7th Avenue s from Fillmore Street to Chambers Street was submitted and read in full. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt that the bill be held over to the February 5, 1968 Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. 6 Council Bill No. 8242 - Levying assessments for sanitary sewer within 160 feet of Roosevelt Boulevard from Foch Street to SP&S railroad was submitted and read in full. Mr. Lassenmoved seconded by Mr. McNutt that the bill be held over to the February 5, 1968 Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. 7 Council Bill No. 8243 - Levying assessments for sanitary sewer within 160 feet north and south of Elwing Street, if extended east, from east boundary of 1st Addition to Mountain Vista to Arcadia Drive, was submitted and read in full. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt that the bill be held over to the February 5, 1968 Council meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. RESOLUTIONS 8 Resolution No. 1482 - Granting variance to allow Garden Center at Donald Street and Willamette Street (Hirons) was submitted and read in full. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. 9 Resq1ution No. 1483 - Authorizing agreement with Eugene Fruit Growers Association re: Water and Sewer User Charge was submitted and read in full. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried. 10 Resolution No. 1484 - Authorizing agreement with Eugene Fruit Growers Association re: Reimburse- ment for Additional Sewer Capacity was submitted and read in full. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. 11 Resolution No. 1485 - Authorizing sale to State of Oregon of right-of-way for 7th Avenue-Wil1amette River Section Eugene-Springfield Highway ($6,550.00) was submitted and read in full. Resolution No. 1487 - Granting permission for fence in right-of-way 25th and Lincoln (Robathan) was submitted and read in full. 12. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr. McNutt to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. 13 Voters Pamphlet Statements - Special Election February 20, 1968. Revised statements of the City Council to be published in the Voters Pamphlet were distributed. statements were with regard to bond issues for the Laure1wood purchase and airport improvements land acquisition, and the mapped streets and local government continuity Charter amendments.
