The City Manager explained that because of an apparent problem of loose soil at one end,
soil tests were required before the architect could proceed with the design. Councilman Wingard
questioned the reason for the air conditioning unit in the Public Works Department - whether the
building is going to be air conditioned a room at a time. The Manager explained that the unit was
necessary regardless of whether the rest of the building is air conditioned because of the heat
generated by the equipment.

A rollcall vote was taken. All councilmen present voting aye, the motion carried.

1

Progress Payments, approved by PublicWorks Department

Bethel-Danebo Sand & Gravel
6th & Final - Paving, sanitary and storm sewers Churchill Highlands

Bostick Construction Company
8th & Final - Willakenzie Sewers WS-67-l,Roan Drive,Pinto Way
1st & Final - Sanitary sewer alley between Olive and
Charnelton, 17th to 18th

Eugene Sand & Gravel Company
5th & Final - Paving, sanitary and storm sewers 1st Addition
to Cambridge Park
4th & Final - Paving, sanitary and storm sewers 21st Avenue
7th Addition to Highland Oaks

Eugene Water & Electric Board
1st & Final - Move Street Light Pole

Fryback Construction
7th - Paving, sanitary and storm sewers 18th Avenue from
City View to Oak Patch Road
3rd & Final - Sanitary sewer in alley between Hilyard
and Alder from 24th to 25th
2nd & Final - Monroe Street 28th south

Gelco
3rd - Sanitary sewer sealing project between Tyler and
Monroe from 17th to 20th

Inter-City Construction Company
3rd & Final - Sanitary sewer reconstruction on Pearl from
2nd to 5th
3rd - Storm sewer on 6th, Garfield to Almaden and laterals

Jeske Construction Company
2nd & Final - Storm sewer on Charnelton, 27th to south
300 feet and between 27th and 29th, 200 feet
west to 40 feet west Willamette

McKenzie Road & Driveway Company
6th & Final - Sewers in BD-67-l7, Seneca, 11th, Stewart
6th & Final - Paving, sanitary and storm sewers on 11th
from Garfield to Seneca
5th & Final - Paving, sanitary and storm sewer on Garfield,
Roosevelt to 6th and 2nd between Almaden and Garfield
5th & Final - Paving, storm sewer and sidewalk on Whitbeck, 28th
to McLean and Ingalls, McLean, Whitbeck to Chambers
5th & Final - Paving, sanitary and storm sewer Norland Way Plat
4th & Final - Paving, sanitary and storm sewer Southwest Hills Addn

C.
