Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mrs. Hayward that the bills as presented and read be allowed and proper
City officials authorized to draw the necessary warrants.

Councilman Lassen questioned the amount to Dames & Moore for investigation of the proposed Echo
Hollow Pool. The City Manager explained that because of an apparent problem of loose soil at one end,
soil tests were required before the architect could proceed with the design. Councilman Wingard
questioned the reason for the air conditioning unit in the Public Works Department - whether the
building is going to be air conditioned a room at a time. The Manager explained that the unit was
necessary regardless of whether the rest of the building is air conditioned because of the heat
generated by the equipment.

A rollcall vote was taken. All councilmen present voting aye, the motion carried.
