He said he felt the balance of City Vtew on its,old alignment should be <br /> paved to make a street comparable to Chambers, 'and that there is serious lack of through north/south <br /> streets in that area. He presented a petition from property owners in the vicinity opposing the City <br /> View vacation. <br /> Sam Konnie, owner of property at the end of.Arthur Street, said his property would be landlocked if ' <br /> Arthur Street is vacated and urged the Council to retain the right-of-way. <br /> Considerable discussion followed on thest~tus of Mr. Chrysler's property with regard to present ac- <br /> cess, future access when the Slocum property to the south is annexed 'and developed, superiority of <br /> access to lots under the present s.treet systerp., etc. <br /> The City Manager suggested the City Attorney have an opportunity to examine the petition presented by <br /> Mr. Chrysler to determine the percentage of property owners involved and sufficiency of the petition . <br /> with regard to legal requirements. <br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen to table the council bill pending an-opinion with regard to <br /> legal sufficiency of the petition.
