RESOLUTIONS -I ,.1 5 Resolution No. 1601 - Requesting Lane County Housing Authority to acquire or construct 20 four~ bedroom and 10 five-bedroom houses throughout Eugene in' structures no larger thmdup1exes, was s~b~ mitted and read in full. . Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mr~. Lauris to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. 6 Resolution No. 1602 - Requesting Lane County Housing Authority to impose six-month residency requirement prior to applying for 10w-cos't leased housing, was ~~bmitted apd read in full. Mr. Lassen moved seconded by Mrs. Lauristo adopt the resolution. Councilman McDonald asked for reconsideration of the six-month residency requirement. He reiterated I . his position.that people moving ~nto Eugene under rehabilitation programs, etc., would be penalized by such. a requirement:' Council President Anderson said it was the Joint Housing Committee's intent,. and the Council's, to set general policy; with specific cases to be given consideration when required. The City Manager said the resolution itself does not specify any variations, but that. the letter transmitting the resolution to the Housing Authority could convey that the City's intent in requesting the six-month residency requ~rement was that the resolution be accepted as general guidance and not bind the Authority with regard to not allowing any exceptions.. He exp1ain"edthat the fina1.decision on imposing such a requirement is the Authority's; the City is merely requesting that it be given I, consideration. . - ~ A vote was taken on the motion to adopt the resolution, with the understanding. a. transmittal .1etter to the Housing Authority would indicate exceptions. I 9 Resolution No. 1605 - Revoking Resolution No. 1600 adopted November 25, 1968. re: Lease of commer- cial space in 10th and Oak parking structure, and approving new' lease with Nils B. Hult, with regard to being able to install tenant improve- , ~ I ments in the commercial space of the structure so that space,wi11 be ready for occupancy prior to I . Christmas 1969. The lease has been reworded to allow start of 1ess.ee improvements by August 1, 1969. I The reworded lease also sets forth the time in relation to completion of the structure when the lessee would start receiving credits on the advance payment he has made for the space. Resolution No. 1605 I revokes Resolution No. 1600 and authorizes the modified lease.
