Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. Council Bill No. 8722 - Levying assessments for paving Edison Street from Goodyear Street to <br />Morse Street; Morse from Edison to 500 feet north; and sanitary sewer within 160 feet of each side . <br />of Goodyear from Side to Edison, and within 160 feet of each side of Edison from Goodyear to Morse <br />and within 160 feet of each side of Morse from Edison to 600 feet north was submitted and,read in full. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald that the bill be held over to the February, 24, 1969 Council <br />meeting to allow proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected properties. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS <br /> <br />~ <br />6 .~, Resolution No. 1622 - Granting'variance allowing duplex at 26th and Potter (Champion) was <br />'. submitted and read in full. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried. <br /> <br />J Reso~ution No. 1623 - Repealing Resolution 1608 and revoking permit for sanitary sewer connec- <br />tion 42 North Polk (Rose) was submitted and read in full. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. <br /> <br />8 Resolution No. 1624 - Approving Conditional Use Permit for Alcoholic Rehabilitation Group Care <br />Facility (7th and Lawrence) <br /> <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. <br /> <br />-9 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1625 - Traffic: Stop signs 39th and Donald; Prohibiting parking 5th and Lawrence. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10 Resolution No. 1626 - Authorizing agreement with Richard C. and Sharon R. Warren; Louise Ireland; <br />Stuart and Jean Rich; Katherine Cornish; and Robert and Kerlin Rentch1er re Dedication of portion of <br />right of way on 20th Avenue between Madison and Monroe Streets (cul-de-sac construction and vacation <br />portion 20th) was submitted and read in full. <br /> <br />In answer to a question from Mr. McDonald the City Manager explained that the City had initiated <br />paving of a larger area with a system of cu1 de sacs, but property owners could not agree to a pro- <br />posed plan. This resolution would develop one cu1 de sac and prevent 20th Avenue f~om becoming a <br />through street. In answer to Mr. McDona1ds question concerning sidewalks, Ar. Allen explained that <br />sidewalks would be on one side only, expept in the block between Washington Street and Jeffer,son Street <br />where there were already several sidewalks on both sides of the street. Mr. Allen displayed a map <br />illustrating the proposed cu1 de sac and the location of sidewalks. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald to adopt the resolution. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />11 Resolution No. 1627 - Setting March 10, 1969 at 7:30 p.m. assessment hearing re: 7th and <br />Wi11amette Parking Assessment District. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald to adopt the resolution.
