Planning Commission Recommendations - <br />a. Temporary Permit for plant material storage, Reed and Cross - Reed and Cross have <br />requested a one year permit to utilize an area on the south side of Eastwood Lane <br />between Oakway Road and Fairway Loop for storage of plant materials to be used for the <br />downtown Mall construction. <br /> <br />II <br />I <br />!I <br />!i <br />:1 <br /> <br />:1 <br />II <br /> <br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. McDonald to approve the Planning Commission recommenda- <br />tipn. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague to approve Item 7aof the Committee report. <br /> <br />Mr. Teague asked if the staff had received any objections to this use. ~he City Manager said that <br />the Planning Commission held a public hearing and that no objections were received. <br /> <br />A vote was taken on the mot~on. Motion. carried. <br /> <br />b. Lane County Sand and Gravel' Ordinance - Planning Commission feels the proposed <br />ordinance has regional significance and should be considered by the Central Lane <br />Planning Council. The Commission recommends that the City Council request review <br />by the €entral Lane Planning Council prior to county public hearings. It is sug- <br />gested that a letter be directed to the County Commissioners asking that they request <br />CLPC support. <br /> <br />:1 <br />i <br />II <br />II <br />II <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Mohr moved seconded by Mrs. Hayward to refer the Lane County Ordinance to CLPC <br />for review, and request the County Commissioners to do the same. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague to approve Item 7b of the Committee report. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />c. Darrel Lanz Rezoning -.comer Bailey Hill and Stewart Road - At a joint meeting of <br />the Council and Planning Commission, Planning Commission reaffirmed denial of this <br />request for, M-2 rezoning. It is now brought back for final action. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved,seconded by Mr. Mohr to deny the request for rezoning of the <br />Darrel Lanz property. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The City Manager said that a request had been received from Darrel Lanz that action be ,postponed <br />to allow additional time to~prepare a case. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague to defer action until the meeting of June 22. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />d. Pearl and Chambers Zone Change Request - Drs. Pearl and Chambers have requested <br />withdrawal of their request for rezoning property at 20th and Agate. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. Mohr to deny request of Drs. Pearl and Chambers <br />for withdrawal of their rezoning request. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague to approve Item 7d of the Committee report~ Motion <br />carried. "~ <br /> <br />e. Annexation. Norman Smith - Tax Lot 604, lying south of ~Oth and west of Brae Burn. <br />Planning Commission recommends inclusion of Tax Lots 500, 602 and 603, which contain <br />an additional 2.24 acres. The City has the expense in the storm sewer <br />development or in the additional paving, but immediate additional costs are primarily those to the <br />property owner. <br /> <br />A vote was taken on the motion. Motion carried. <br /> <br />f. Correspondence - The City Manager read correspondence to the Council from <br />Councilman Gribskov; Senator Fadeley, who suggested it might be a good time for an <br />initiative to prohibit increases in field burning and require decreases in the amount <br />of acreage permitted to be burned; letter thanking a patrolman for participation in <br />a clergy conference at the University of Oregon <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague to receive and file Item 7f of the Committee report. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />6/8/70 7 <br /> <br />..... <br />
