This would eliminate listing of expenses of Councilmen. <br /> After further discussion, it was decided to try submission of expenses as set forth <br /> in the report. <br /> Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Williams that a resolution be prepared concerning Council <br /> " <br /> procedures and amendment to by-laws concerning appointment procedure. Motion carried. " <br /> Councilman Teague inquired if the expense allowance procedure outlined in the report was not the same <br /> as the Council is now using. National League of Cities Meeting - Mayor Anderson said the League of Oregon Cities <br /> has blocked off a group of rooms for Oregon delegatessat the National League of Cities <br /> meeting, and asked who would attend. Bicycle Routes - The City Maneger said the University press had not been quite accurate <br /> in reporting action at a previous meeting. E"asement Acquisition - :j <br /> A. On April 14 City Council authorized condemnation proceedings to be brought against Mr. an <br /> Mrs. Claire B. Brodkorb. Defendant had property appraised and filed an answer requesting \: <br /> damages in the amount of $1,900. City appraisal was $200. City Attorney was able to <br /> negotiate a settlement of the claim for $650.00. He recommends settlement for this amount. <br />1 <br />" Vesta Shaffner and Estate of Margaret H. I <br /> B. Deertz - Council authorized condemnation for <br /> acquisition of easement property of Vesta Shaffner and the estate of Ma~garet H. Deertz. " <br /> Defendan had an appraisal made and filed an answer setting forth damage in the amount of <br /> $1500 plus $750 attorney's fees. City Appraisal was for $110.00 City Attorney was <br /> able to negotiate settlement of the claim for $300. and recommends acquisition of the <br /> easement for this amount. <br /> Mr. McDonald moved seconded by Mr. Teague that the Council approve settlem~nt of acquisition <br /> of easements as outlined above.
