Final Support of Project (Q39) <br />After hearing all of the previous statements, the level of support of the proposal by Eugene <br />residents went t~om 36% to 40%, while the level of support by 97404 residents remained virtually <br />flat. The real shift was away from "undecided" toward "oppose." After the information, the level <br />of opposition by Eugene residents went from 19% to 37%, and by 97404 residents from 26% to <br />44%. <br /> <br />Reasons for Opposition (Q40) <br />The most widely-stated reason Eugene residents give for opposing the proposed project is the <br />development/developer/growth issue, followed by traffic.
