<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br /> <br />Eugene City Council <br />City Council Chamber <br /> <br />January 22, 1986 <br />12:45 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCILORS PRESENT: Cynthia Wooten, Richard Hansen, Emily Schue, Freeman <br />Holmer, Ruth Bascom, Debra Ehrman, Roger Rutan, Jeff <br />Mi 11 e r . <br /> <br />The adjourned meeting from January 21, 1986, of the City Council of the City <br />of Eugene, Oregon, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Brian B. Obie. <br /> <br />I. ITEMS FROM THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL <br /> <br />A. EWEB Celebration <br /> <br />Councilor Holmer said he attended the celebration of the 10,OOOth home in the <br />Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) service area to be weatherized. He said <br />over 25 percent of the homes in the EWEB service area have now been <br />weatherized which is quite an accomplishment. <br /> <br />B. Eugene Library <br /> <br />Councilor Ehrman said several councilors attended a meeting at the Eugene <br />Library to discuss an expansion of the library. She will keep the council <br />informed about any future proposals. <br /> <br />C Tree Commission Report <br /> <br />Councilor Bascom said a report on the work of the Tree Commission will be <br />presented to the council on Monday, January 27, <br /> <br />D. LANE REGIONAL AIR POLLUTION AUTHORTIY (LRAPA) <br /> <br />Councilor Schue said the LRAPA Board of Directors discussed pollution related <br />to wood stoves. She said the issue will continue and she would like to <br />schedule a presentation to the council on it in February. <br /> <br />E. METROPOLITAN AREA PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MAPAC) <br /> <br />Ms. Schue said the Springfield City Council has recommended the role of MAPAC <br />be changed. The issue will be addressed by the Metropolitan Policy Committee <br />(MPC). She and Mr. Hansen represent the council on MPC, but she will not be <br />at the next meeting.
