The adjourned meeting from January 21, 1986, of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Brian B. Obie. I. ITEMS FROM THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL A. EWEB Celebration Councilor Holmer said he attended the celebration of the 10,OOOth home in the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) service area to be weatherized. He said over 25 percent of the homes in the EWEB service area have now been weatherized which is quite an accomplishment. B. Eugene Library Councilor Ehrman said several councilors attended a meeting at the Eugene Library to discuss an expansion of the library. She will keep the council informed about any future proposals. C Tree Commission Report Councilor Bascom said a report on the work of the Tree Commission will be presented to the council on Monday, January 27, D. LANE REGIONAL AIR POLLUTION AUTHORTIY (LRAPA) Councilor Schue said the LRAPA Board of Directors discussed pollution related to wood stoves. She said the issue will continue and she would like to schedule a presentation to the council on it in February. E. METROPOLITAN AREA PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MAPAC) Ms. Schue said the Springfield City Council has recommended the role of MAPAC be changed. The issue will be addressed by the Metropolitan Policy Committee (MPC). She and Mr. Hansen represent the council on MPC, but she will not be at the next meeting.
