Promises kept: The Library's spending on new materials increased 11% in FY17, restoring to pre - <br />recession levels and providing quicker availability for in -demand items. A new service of lending laptops <br />was developed at the two neighborhood branches in the Spring of 2017 in which patrons could borrow a <br />laptop for two days. <br />In closing, the Eugene Public Library Advisory Board takes great pride in reporting to you the resounding <br />success of the first year of the levy. <br />
