Roll call vote; the motion carried <br />unanimously, 6:0. <br /> <br />VIII. DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS EUGENE WATER AND ELECTRIC BOARD PROPERTY <br /> <br />City Manager Micheal Gleason suggested the council's consideration of the <br />disposal of EWEB property be postponed. The councilors agreed. <br /> <br />IX. RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION FOR GILHAM ROAD AND WILLAKENZIE ROAD <br /> <br />City Manager Micheal Gleason said the proposed ordinances will implement <br />decisions the council previously made to initiate the projects. <br /> <br />CB 2947--An ordinance authorizing the institution of <br />proceedings in eminent domain for the acquisition <br />by condemnation of property interests along Gilham <br />Road between Crescent Drive and Honeywood Avenue for <br />the purposes of construction of street improvements; <br />and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />CB 2948--An ordinance authorizing the institution of <br />proceedings in eminent domain for the acquisition <br />by condemnation of property interests along <br />Willakenzie Road from Coburg Road east 1,700 feet <br />for the purposes of street widening; and declaring <br />an emergency. <br /> <br />Mr. Holmer moved, seconded by Ms. Wooten, that the bills <br />be read the second time by council bill numbers only, with <br />unanimous consent of the council, and that enactment be <br />considered at this time. The motion carried unanimously, 6:0. <br /> <br />Mr. Holmer moved, seconded by Ms. Wooten, that the bills <br />be approved and given final passage.
