2005 Legislative Session IGR Commitee Bill Approval May 23, 2005 <br /> <br /> Permits declarant of condominium to expressly warrant against certain defects in newly <br /> constructed units and common elements for not less than three years. Limits applicability of <br /> statute of limitations to three years for construction defects when declarant elects to expressly <br /> warrant against certain defects for three years. Requires election for three-year warranty and <br /> three-year statute of limitations to be disclosed in contract for sale of condominium unit. Applies <br /> to warranties and limitations of actions on newly constructed units and common elements <br /> SB 0955 3 Support delivered into possession of unit owner other than declarant on or after effective date. 4/21 <br /> Allows school district boards to prohibit persons with concealed handgun licenses from <br /> carrying firearms in certain public buildings. Expands definition of 'public building' for purposes <br /> SB 0956 3 Support/Am of laws relating to possession of weapons on public property. 3/17 <br /> SB 0960 3 Support Modifies requirements for obtaining concealed handgun license. 3/17 <br /> Includes certain brominated flame retardants in definition of' hazardous substance. ' Prohibits <br /> introduction or delivery for introduction into commerce of products containing certain amount of <br /> brominated flame retardants. Directs Department of Human Services to issue biennial report <br /> SB 0962 3 Monitor regarding brominated flame retardants. 3/24 <br /> Includes certain brominated flame retardants in definition of' hazardous substance. ' Prohibits <br /> introduction or delivery for introduction into commerce of products containing certain amount of <br /> brominated flame retardants. Provides that council establish and maintain <br /> effective avenues of communication between Governor, Legislative Assembly, cities and <br /> counties. Establishes Oregon Governance Council Account. Appropriates moneys from <br /> SB 0969 3 Monitor account to council to carry out duties, functions and powers of council. 3/09 <br /> Prohibits disclosure of public records relating to criminal investigation or prosecution or to <br /> confinement of persons convicted of crimes unless personal identifiers have been deleted. <br /> Increases punishment for identity theft if personal information transferred relates to specified <br /> SB 0978 3 Support persons. 5/05 <br /> Requires motor trucks weighing 26,000 pounds or less and used for commercial delivery of <br /> packages and property to be equipped with forward crossview mirrors. Provides exceptions. <br /> SB 1027 3 Support Creates offense of operation without forward crossview mirror. Punishes by fine of $180. 4/28 <br /> Modifies authority of and procedures for public entity to pay compensation for or to modify, <br /> remove or not apply land use regulations that restrict use and reduce fair market value of real <br /> property. Modifies provisions authorizing establishment of lot of record dwellings in farm and <br /> SB 1037 3 Monitor forest zones. 5/12 <br /> Allows county to distribute amounts received from federal forest reserve receipts not required <br /> SB 1043 3 Support ifor county road fund to school fund of county.
