2005 Legislative Session IGR Commitee Bill Approval May 23, 2005 <br /> <br /> Prohibits discrimination against persons in specified areas of law based on sexual orientation. <br /> Defines 'sexual orientation.' Authorizes enforcement of prohibition through civil action for actual <br /> and punitive damages. Authorizes attorney fees in civil proceedings for unlawful discrimination. <br /> Requires state agencies to eliminate discrimination against persons based on sexual <br /> HB 2519 2 Support orientation. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die. 3/09 <br /> Imposes malt beverage cost recovery fee on malt beverages. Distributes moneys to cities and <br /> counties for alcohol and drug abuse and mental health preventive, early intervention and <br /> treatment services, public health services, law enforcement purposes related to mental health <br /> HB 2533 2 Support/Am and addiction activities, drug-free housing efforts and drug court program funding. 3/17 <br /> Prohibits contracting agency from canceling, rejecting, delaying or suspending solicitation, bid, <br /> HB 2540 2 Oppose proposal or award because bidder or proposer is engaged in labor dispute. 4/14 <br /> { - Prohibits public body from including cost of legal services in fees established for disclosing <br /> public records. Except when person requests disclosure of public records in manner other than <br /> manner in which public body maintains public records, prohibits public body from including <br /> labor costs in fees established for disclosing public records. - } { + Allows public body, in order <br /> to comply with request for disclosure of public records, to establish fee to reimburse public <br /> body for time spent by attorney to review records, redact material from records or segregate <br /> records into exempt and nonexempt records. Prohibits public body from including costs of <br /> other legal services in fee established to make records available. Limits amount of fee public <br /> body may charge to comply with request for public records unless public body provides <br /> requestor with written notification of estimated amount of fee and requestor confirms that <br /> HB 2545A 2 Support requestor wants public body to proceed with making records available. + } 5/12 <br /> Authorizes construction of single family dwelling on lot or parcel on which land use restriction <br /> or reinterpretation prevents construction of dwelling that could have been constructed when <br /> owner acquired lot or parcel. Requires landowner to apply to governing body of city or county, <br /> or its designee, for approval to construct dwelling. Requires governing body of city or county, or <br /> its designee, to approve or deny application within 120 days of date application is submitted. <br /> Provides for judicial review of denial of application.
