2005 Legislative Session IGR Commitee Bill Approval May 23, 2005 <br />Establishes Construction Consumer Fund for purpose of paying claims not satisfied due to <br />exhaustion of construction contractor's surety bond. Provides for moneys from civil penalties <br />assessed by Construction Contractors Board to be deposited in fund. Eliminates partial <br />distribution of civil penalty moneys to board. Appropriates fund moneys to Construction <br /> HB 2714 3 Neutral Contractors Board for carrying out purpose of fund. 4/14 <br /> Authorizes city or county to create community forest authority. Authorizes community forest <br /> authorities to issue revenue bonds or other revenue obligations to acquire and maintain private <br /> HB 2729 3 Neutral forest lands. Declares emergency, effective on passage. 4/07 <br /> Directs Department of Revenue to establish general tax amnesty program of limited duration. <br /> Waives penalties for taxpayers who pay outstanding taxes. Takes effect on 91 st day following <br /> HB 2758 3 Support adjournment sine die. 4/07 <br /> Prohibits paying or receiving compensation based on number of signed voter registration <br /> HB 2760 3 Support cards person collects. 4/07 <br /> Requires that one in every four accessible parking spaces for disabled persons be van <br /> accessible or, if more than four spaces are designated as accessible, then one in every eight <br /> be van accessible. Requires that van accessible parking spaces have orange sign marked <br /> 'VVheelchair User Only' and be striped and marked in orange with International Symbol of <br /> Access. Requires access aisle be striped orange. Requires Department of Transportation to <br /> issue wheelchair placards or decals. Prohibits persons from parking in van accessible parking <br /> space signed or marked 'VVheelchair User Only ' unless vehicle displays wheelchair placard or <br /> H B 2762 3 Oppose decal. 4/07 <br /> Requires Department of Transportation to ensure that when highway lanes merge, traffic in left <br /> HB 2769 3 Oppose lane merges into right lane. 4/07 <br /> Modifies requirements for formation and merger of people's utility districts and for annexation <br /> HB 2773 3 Monitor of territory to existing people's utility district. 4/21 <br /> Eliminates sunset date on historic property special assessment program. Expands types of <br /> HB 2776 3 Support property for which owner may reapply for second 15-year period of special assessment. 4/07 <br /> Requires as special condition of probation, post-prison supervision and parole that certain sex <br /> HB 2784 3 Support offenders not live within 1,000 feet of school. 4/07 <br /> Provides that sheriff has supervisory and final authority over county local correctional facilities, <br /> Iockups, temporary holds and corrections supervision services. Provides that unit of county <br /> government that employs certified police officers or corrections officers is under direct <br /> HB 2794 3 Neut/Am supervision and authority of county sheriff. 4/14 <br /> Grants reciprocity to persons holding concealed handgun licenses or permits issued by other <br /> HB 2802 3 Oppose states. 3/31 <br /> Authorizes for-hire carriers and private carriers to operate vehicles with combined weight of <br /> 16,000 pounds or less in high occupancy vehicle lane if displaying high occupancy vehicle use <br /> permit in rear window or on rear bumper. Creates offense of improper use of high occupancy <br /> HB 2807 3 Oppose vehicle use permit. Punishes by fine of $360. 4/07 <br /> 43 <br /> <br /> <br />
