RESOLUTION REGARDING HISTORIC LANDMARKS <br /> Mr. Bennett declared a conflict of interest because of his ownership of the Ax <br /> Billy Building. He did not participate in the discussion or vote. <br /> Assistant City Manager Dave Whitlow introduced the item. Planning Director <br /> Susan Brody gave the staff report. She said the Quackenbush Building, Ax <br /> Billy Building, the McDonald Theater Building, the Eugene Hotel Building, the <br /> U.S. Post Offi ce Buil di ng, and Johnson Ha 11 and the Museum of Art on the <br /> University of Oregon campus are National Historic Landmarks but they are not <br /> City Historic Landmarks. The resolution before the council will initiate the <br /> City1s National Historic Landmark process for the properties. <br /> Res. No. 4066--A resolution directing the City Manager to <br /> initiate proceedings to designate seven <br /> National Historic sites as City Historic <br /> Landma rks. <br /> Ms. Ehrman moved, seconded by Mr. Holmer, to adopt the <br /> resolution.
