She said the community <br /> organization opposes the annexation proposals within and without the <br /> organization1s boundaries recognized by the Lane County Board of <br /> Commissioners. She specifically opposed the annexation of Beltline <br /> Road. She discussed State legislation concerning annexation <br /> procedures. <br /> "Ms. Heintz said the River Road Community Organization opposes all <br /> annexation proposals in the area. She requested that her testimony <br /> be included in the record of each proposal. II <br /> Ms. Heintz said the River Road Community Organization existed in 1976 and was <br /> recognized by the Lane County Board of Commissioners. She emphasized that she <br /> did not receive information about the annexation proposals before the Planning <br /> Commission considered them and members of the River Road Community <br /> Organization did not receive the information in time to evaluate it before the <br /> council considered the proposals. She said the Executive Board opposes the <br /> proposals but members did not get full background information on them. She <br /> said 80 percent of the people in the River Road area opposed annexation in <br /> 1978/1979. <br /> Harold Chapman, 51 Chapman Drive, asked that his comments about i s 1 and <br /> annexations during consideration of the Marxen, Kempf, et a 1 (AZ 87-9) <br /> proposal be included in the record of this proposal. He <br /> said the editorial could describe the proposal before the Eugene <br /> counci 1. <br /> "Mr. Chapman said the next State Legislature will probably review <br /> annexation laws and annexation laws are a main issue in the <br /> replacement of State Representative Ron Eachus.
