· At-risk household - household with problems that may lead to homelessness <br />· Chronically Homeless - an unaccompanied homeless individual with a disabling <br /> condition who has either been continuously homeless for a year or more, or who has <br /> had at least four episodes of homelessness in the past three years. In order to be <br /> considered chronically homeless, a person must have been sleeping in a place not <br /> meant for human habitation (e.g., living on the streets) and/or in an emergency <br /> homeless shelter. <br />· Cost burden -paying more than 30.0% of household income for housing costs, <br /> including utilities <br />· Disabling condition - A disabling condition is defined as a diagnosable substance <br /> use disorder~ serious mental illness, developmental disability, or chronic physical <br /> illness or disability including the co-occurrence of two or more of these conditions. A <br /> disabling condition limits an individual's ability to work or perform one or more <br /> activities of daily living. <br />· Extremely Iow-income - households with incomes at or below 30.0% of the county <br /> median family income <br />· Housing problem - cost burden and/or overcrowding <br />· Low-income - households with incomes at or below 50. 0% of the county median <br />· Moderate-income - households with incomes between 50.0% and 80.0% of county <br /> median <br />· Overcrowded - a housing unit with more than one person per room <br />· Severe cost burden -paying more than 50.0% of household income for housing <br /> costs, including utilities <br />· Substandard housing - housing that does not meet local code standards for <br /> occupancy <br />· Unmet need -shows the number of renter and existing homeowner households that <br /> are experiencing moderate to severe housing problems; overcrowding, serious <br /> repairs, and spending more than 30.0% of household income for housing costs <br /> <br /> <br />
