Call for Public Hearing: withdrawal from Junction City Water Control <br />District (resolution distributed) <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mr. Gleason said that staff recommended adopting the resolution to call a public <br />heari ng. <br /> <br />Res. No. 3754--A resolution calling for a public hearing for <br />March 16, 1983, to consider withdrawal of property <br />located on the east side of Prairie Road south of <br />Beltline from the Junction City Water Control <br />Di strict. <br /> <br />Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Obie, to adopt the resolution. <br />Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />O. Ordinance re: Withdrawal from Junction City Water Control ~istrict <br />(Great Western Steel Fabricators) (ordinance distributed) <br /> <br />Mr. Gleason said that adoption of the ordinance was required for withdrawal from <br />the Junction City Water District. <br /> <br />CB 2605--An ordinance authorizing withdrawal from the Junction <br />City Water Control District. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Obie, that the bill be read the <br />second time by council bill number only, with unanimous consent <br />of the council, and that enactment be considered at this time. <br />Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Bill 2605 was read the second time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Obie, that the bill be approved <br />and given final passage. Roll call vote. All councilors present <br />voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 19106. <br /> <br />III. ORDINANCE CONCERNING BONDING REQUIREMENTS FOR ALARM EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER <br />AND ALARM MONITORING SERVICES (memo, ordinance distributed) <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mr. Gleason introduced Finance Director Warren Wong. Mr. Wong said that the <br />ordi nance before the council woul d change the surety bond requi rement for al arm <br />equipment suppliers and alarm monitoring services. He said that no claims had <br />been filed since the City had adopted the original ordinance and that, even in <br />the event that a claim were filed, the liability would not be likely to exceed <br />$5,000. He noted that the $5,000 figure was used by other municipalities in <br />Oregon. <br /> <br />Councilor Hansen suggested that the City review other bonding requirements to <br />see if other reductions coul d be made which woul d allow more businesses to be <br />able to participate. Mr. Wong responded that staff was engaged in such a review. <br /> <br />fvlr.
