Ms. Jones, Planning, presented the <br /> staff report. She said that the application for rezoning involves 11 tax lots <br /> under four ownerships, adding that all of the parcels are presently developed <br /> with four restaurants, a paint store, small offices, an automobile repair shop, <br /> and a sign shop. She explained that the parcels were developed at a time when <br /> the 1-2 zoning allowed more commercial uses. She said the property is bordered <br /> on the north by 1-3 Heavy Industrial property and on the south of West 11th <br /> Avenue by a mixture of commercial and industrial uses. Ms. Jones said that the <br /> council will later be hearing an appeal of a zoning request for property owned <br /> by R. A. Chambers and located to the west of the subject property. She sai d <br /> that the Planning Commission voted unanimously on August 2, 1983, to recommend <br /> approval of the zone change. <br /> There were no statements of ex parte contacts or confl icts of interest.
