ORDINANCE CONCERNING SEWER USER FEES (memo, ordinance distributed)
City Manager Micheal Gleason introduced the agenda item. Answering a question
from Ms. Schue, he said street sweeping charges are included in the storm
drainage system operation and maintenance charges in the sewer user fees.
Ms. Wooten called the attention of other councilors to a memo from Councilor
Hansen in which he objected to the use of water consumption as the basis for
paying street sweeping costs. He said sewer uses fees should have been
addressed in the budget process. He favored reducing the regional sewer
charges and giving the reduction to the consumer.
-
MINUTES--Eugene City Council July 17, 1985 Pa ge 6
